I am currently living in the great state of North Carolina, home of NASCAR, The School Where Michael Jordan Played Basketball, the Carolina Hurricanes, and my wife Joanna. I live north of Charlotte and work for Steele Rubber Products We make rubber parts to restore classic cars. I work in IT and coordinate the eBay Store for Steele Rubber Products.

I am an alumnus of The University of Northern Iowa, class of 2000.  I was active in College Republicans and the UNI Chapter of the American Marketing Association. I enjoyed academic life; I enjoyed the perspective on history and society that I got from college and the atmosphere that you can find at a college that promotes intelligent thinking an analytical criticism of the world.

I like to go to airshows. I've been to shows such as "Wings over Wayne" at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina, "Air Power over Hampton Roads" at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, "The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends", and shows at Oceana Naval Air Station and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

I enjoy thunderstorms. I have not seen a tornado, but have come close twice and have seen a well formed wall cloud up close. I chased storms few years when I lived in Iowa, but now that I'm in North Carolina, mainly because storms are less frequent and less intense here, overall, than they are in Iowa.

I am a Star Trek fan. I am NOT, however, a "trekkie". I have no Spock ears, no Bajoran earrings, no toy phaser. I do not wear a Starfleet uniform to the movies. I have been to only one convention. I have not seen, nor can I actually tell you very much about, every episode of the original series. I do, however, speak a little Klingon, and I had some ship models until I gave them all away. I enjoy all of the series, TNG is my favorite, but TOS, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise are still Star Trek and still good. I was saddened to see Enterprise canceled after only four seasons; they had just started to get some well written episodes on the air and some good character development. Star Trek is in limbo right now; no new TV series are in the works and I'm not that excited about the next movie. It's an interesting time to be a fan.

I have great respect for all of our men and women of the armed forces who protect our country every day. I know some personally and I genuinely thank them in person for their service to their country.  I know a former co-worker who serves in the Iowa National Guard, a friend who serves in the Army Reserves and is training to become a military policemen, and the son of a former employer who flies rescue helicopters for the Marines.  I encourage you to approach those you know who serve, shake their hand, and thank them -- one thankful citizen to another.

My DH also love airshow.He's a pilot and also flies RC planes
